Bebe Cool excited after his son Alpha Thierry makes it to AFCON U20 squad

Singer Moses Ssali popularly known as Bebe Cool is on coud9 after his son Alpha Thierry Ssali made it to the AFCON U20 Uganda Hippos final squad.

The excited singer shared FUFA’s posts and the squad photo on his social media platforms and narrated how far his son has come. Alpha started playing football at the age of six years at Proline Academy and has risen through the ranks and currently he is the captain of Proline U17.

“I am happy and proud to see you my son Alpha work so hard to achieve a place on the U-20 Hippos selected national team at just 17 years I am as well proud and happy for you being the captain of the U-17 Proline team,” Bebe Cool said in a post.

The 17-year- old Alpha is potentially tipped to be a great talent for Uganda in the coming years. His call up on the AFCON U20 national team will even help him get better as he pursues to strengthen his football career.

A few months ago, Uganda Hippos Head Coach Morley Bwekwaso named Alpha in his Final U20 Total CAF African Cup of Nations Zonal qualifiers Squad and featured in only one game at the tournament where Uganda emerged winners.

Over the weekend, Byekwaso named his final squad and once again Alpha maintained his position in the team. The team has today will departed at Entebbe International Airport aboard Uganda Airlines.

The Team will play against Tanzania and Namibia in the Mini Tournament starting tomorrow February 2- 9th before flying to Mauritania for the AFCON U20 Finals. Uganda Hippos is in Group A and will play against Mozambique in the first match on 15th February 2021. The second match will be on 17th February against Cameroon before going head-to-head with the hosts Mauritania in the last group match on 20th February 2021.
