13 NUP supporters granted bail, Eddie Mutwe, Nubian Li, Dan Magic remain in prison

General Court Martial sitting in Makindye has today released 13 National Unity Platform supporters who were arrested a month ago in Kalangala when Robert Kyagulanyi was traversing for votes in the area.

In his ruling, the army court chairman Lt Gen Andrew Gutti said that the released 13 are not supposed to move outside Kampala and Wakiso districts without the court’s permission and are to report to the court twice a month. And each is supposed to pay Shs20 million non -cash bond and each of your sureties to pay shs50 million non -cash.

Meanwhile Eddie Mutwe, Nubian Li, Dan Magic and 36 others were denied bail. Lt Gen Gutti said he would rule on their bail on Monday, February 15, 2021.
