Police launches online application for certificate of good conduct

The Police’s directorate of Interpol has officially opened online services for certificates of good conduct for Ugandans and other nationals seeking their services like police clearance certificate.

A police letter or certificate of good conduct is a document issued by Interpol to show that its bearer has no criminal record.

Birungi Charles, the Interpol Director said the move will help reduce on the number of people who were flocking their offices in Kololo to apply for certificates of good conduct.

“Cognizant of the threat of the spread of COVID -19 and to minimize congestion at the Directorate of INTERPOL Headquarters’ which is mandated to issue certificates of good conduct,” said Birungi.

He also said that the move will reduce on the time spent in the process of acquiring the certificates of good conduct and also help the applicants to track and know the status of their applications.
