Kaya’s Kitchen, a one of the kind organic, specialty pet food manufacturing company, has launched their products on the Ugandan market.

Kaya’s Kitchen is the brainchild of Naiya Ruparelia Khagram. It was established in 2020 from her kitchen at home she started producing the secret pet recipes that have  been tried and tested extensively before being launched to the public.

The launch  took place along with the grand opening of their partners Ark Organics new shop, located at the Explorer’s Hub at Plot 4 Lower Kololo Terrace Road on Saturday.

Kaya’s Kitchen provides pet parents with a broad range of competitively priced organic, natural pet food and a comprehensive line of pet products.

At the store you can get useful pet products like dog and cat treats, puppy and kitten treats, dog food, organic grooming products, pet toys and accessories.

“We love Kampala and noticed a gap in pet stores that provided a Ugandan made, organic, healthy community-based retail option with foods, treats and supplies. We aim to satisfy pet ownership needs, specifically cat and dog owners, in the area and are striving to create a fun & loving community of pet owners in the area,” says Kaya’s Kitchen Director Naiya Khagram Ruparelia.

“We know from first-hand experience that it’s difficult to find natural organic and good quality gourmet pet products, without going to multiple stores, and with the options being very limited in Uganda we decided to launch a new pet food, grooming and accessories manufacturing company.”

“We’ve always had a keen interest in animals from an early age, not just for the companionship and cuddles they provide, but also other important factors like their, health, nutrition and overall wellbeing,” she adds.

“I can’t wait to meet the people in the community. Share tricks, tips and stories of pet ownership!” she adds.

Speaking about their partnership with Ark Organics, Naiya says, “To embark on this adventure with Ark Organics is an incredible opportunity and I hope that the community feels that same love every time they step inside the store.”

“While our four legged friends may not be human, make no mistake, they are part of the family! At Kaya’s Kitchen we recognize the importance a pet can have in a household. Whether you have a large family or small, let us help you create the best family environment for your fur companion(s) and family member.”

Kaya’s Kitchen is also in partnership with the Ugandan Society for the Protection and Care of Animals (USPCA)  and they continuously donate to them for the great work they are doing to help animals in Uganda. On the launch, 10 per cent of all sales were donated to the USPCA.

Kaya’s Kitchen also supports organizations that make communities a better place to call home through their philanthropy foundation, the Ruparelia Foundation.

“By giving back to the communities where we live and work, Kaya’s Kitchen not only celebrates the power of pets to enrich people’s lives—we live it,” Naiya says.

“Our wide variety of different products are now more available and able to meet the needs and budgets of all pet parents while still delivering best-in-class nutrition. We have always had that vision to offer a unique service to pet owners. We continually maintain the highest standards and quality of natural dog foods, supplies and accessories,” she adds.

Kaya’s Kitchen’s  product lines include the finest quality raw and dry ingredients, an abundant selection of natural treats, unique artisan baked goods and a range of “boutique” toys and general care items for everyday use.
