COVID-19: Uganda confirms 695 new coronavirus cases, 512 recoveries, 53 deaths

The ministry of health has today confirmed 695 new coronavirus cases taking the cumulative confirmed cases to 79,089.

The breakdown of the new cases are: 690 Contacts and Alerts: Kampala (347) Wakiso (116) Kibuku (66) Luwero (20) Nebbi (18) Adjumani (18) Jinja (15) Mbale (13) Mukono (13) Tororo (10) Soroti (9) Kumi (7) Kalaki (6) Sironko (4) Kapchorwa (4) Masaka (3) Kyotera (4) Napak (3) Mukono (3) Kanungu (2) Arua (2) Gulu (3) Pader (2) Yumbe (1) Butaleja (1) Bukwo (1).  Others are 5 Truck Drivers: Elegu (3) Malaba (1) Mutukula (1).

Meanwhile more people are continuing to beat COVID-19 as the total recoveries now stand at 51,860 after the ministry reported 512 new recoveries. For deaths, 53 persons have succumbed to the deadly virus taking the total to 956.
