Since news broke that Uganda is among the countries going to temporarily host 2,000 Afghanistan refugees given the political unrest in their country, Ugandans on social media have creatively come up with all sorts of memes especially about the Afghan women.

A section of men have offered to freely house the Afghan refugees as long as they are women.

Minister of Gender, Labour and Social Development, Betty Amongi has also decided to play along as she comically tweeted about Ugandan men wanting to house the Afghan women.

“I’ve seen our Ugandan men praying for safe landing of Afghanistan refugees & sharing various photos of ladies. They are promising total support and cooperation with government this time on this project! Hope it’s not Stingy Men Association,” said Amongi.

Social media in Uganda is flooded with hilarious tweets about Afghanistan refugees coming to Uganda after the Taliban seized power. 500 refugees are expected to arrive at Entebbe International Airport today.
