Khalid Aucho back as Micho confirms 5 more foreign based players for Uganda Cranes Camp in Ethiopia

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named five more players who will join the 20 already in Ethiopia for the preparations and kick off of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Qualifiers.

After months of missing out on national team call ups, midfield maestro Aucho Khalid is back on the team as he is among the listed five foreign based players. About a week ago, Aucho completed his move from Egyptian club El Makassa club to Tanzanian giants Yanga Africans Sports Club.

The midfielder has been pivotal in the past Cranes AFCON campaigns for 2017 and 2019.

Other players that will be joining the Cranes camp are; midfielders Waisswa Moses, Taddeo Lwanga, goalkeeper Isima Watenga and left back Joseph Ochaya.

They will join the players already at Olive Hotel and Spa in Bahir Dar city.

The team rested on Thursday after arriving early in the day from Uganda. Cranes will play a friendly game against Ethiopia on Sunday ahead of World Cup qualifier fixture against Kenya next weekend.
