Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has advised the public to disregard the rumors circulating on social media claiming that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martin Okoth Ochola is hospitalized and on oxygen.

According to a statement released today, Enanga said that much as the IGP developed a bit of hypertension, after hearing with shock about the sudden demise of his former Deputy, Lt.Gen. Paul Lokech about a month ago, his condition was not life-threatening as it was effectively managed by both his Personal Doctor and the Police Surgeon.

“We reiterate that the IGP is not hospitalized as claimed in certain media circles. He is in a good condition, with a back to normal pressure level, and has been working throughout the month of September,” said Enanga in the statement.
