GOLF: Tusker Malt backs first Electro Mug party

The Uganda Golf Club (UGC) held the first Tusker Malt powered Electro Mug party on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Kampala.

Over 70 golfers took part in the day-long championship that marked the start of the monthly Tusker Malt sponsored mugs.

Andrew Opio, playing off handicap six won group A with 70 nett.

Joon Kim Youg took the group B honours (67 nett) as Collins Subiika was outstanding in group C with 71 nett.

The ladies group A category was won by Jacky Kamunyu with 66 nett.

Connie Mukuru won group B ladies after returning 71 nett.

UGC Captain Dr Alex Coutinho lauded the sponsorship of Uganda Breweries Limited under the Tusker Malt brand.

“We remain indebted to Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) who have offered to sponsor the UGC Electro monthly mugs. This is the first of the many mugs to come and we vow to maintain throughout the year” Dr Coutinho remarked.

The outstanding golfers were rewarded mugs and other prizes.

Tusker Malt lit up the 19th hole experience and the party continued till late at night.

The next Tusker Malt Monthly Mug will be held in March 2022.
