Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Anita Among, and Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo last evening flew to the US to check on the health situation of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah, who is currently hospitalized in Seattle City.

Oulanyah was last seen in Parliament on December 21, 2021, and Among has mostly been in charge of the parliamentary business.

According to the Director of Communication & Public Affairs at Parliament, Chris Obore, “I can confirm that the Deputy Speaker has travelled to the US to see the Speaker. To check on his status and brief him on how the House is performing while he is away. “
