Anita Among declared winner of 11th Parliament speakership race

Bukedea District Woman MP Anita Among has been elected the Speaker of the 11th Parliament to replace fallen Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.

Among gathered 401 votes against Asuman Basalirwa’s 66 votes.

Among has taken oath as Speaker and received instruments of power from President Yoweri Museveni.
