The country is yet to come to terms with the passing of Speaker Jacob Oulanyah Lokori. The country and the state continue to mourn the fallen hero as mourners brace themselves for Friday, April 8th, when the fallen speaker will be laid to rest in Omoro, his area of heritage.

Today, the country’s political crème has spent the day at Kololo independence grounds eulogizing the fallen Speaker in a state service under the stewardship of chief mourner, President Yoweri Museveni.

When called upon to address the gathering, Jacob Oulanyah’s eldest daughter, Diana Acheng, made shocking revelations about her dad’s final words before his demise.

According to Diana Acheng, her father underwent a severe transformation before his death, and she was set back upon seeing him.

“When I saw my father in the hospital, I was in shock. I didn’t remember seeing him like that, “she noted.

She further added that the fallen speaker knew that his time to depart the earth had come, hence asking his daughter to watch over her other siblings.

“When my dad saw me, he told me that his time had come and asked me to take care of my siblings,” she added.

According to a submission made by the Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng, the fallen speaker died from cancer, which resulted in multiple organ failure hence his death.
