The National Unity Platform (NUP) party Secretary General, David Lewis Rubongoya, has been reportedly arrested and detained at Nateete Police Station on allegations of threatening violence in the recently concluded Omoro by-election.

According to a post on his official social media pages, Rubongoya, together with his driver, Agaba Gordon, were allegedly first arrested this morning at around Wandegeya on their way to court.

“A traffic officer stopped us and claimed that my car was wanted on allegations of having committed a crime during the recently concluded by-election in Omoro.
