Police has claimed that city socialite Olimu Charles, alias Sipapa, has been participating in different incidents of robbery in Kampala and its suburbs for the last nine years.

According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, the Directorate of CID, in close coordination with the Directorate of Forensic, established 12 other cases that are linked to Sipapa.

Enanga explained that Sipapa’s fingerprints and DNA samples were across their databases and scientifically matched.

“This implies that the accused was one of the perpetrators at the respective scenes of crime in Bugolobi, Kabalagala, Kira road, Jinja road, Kiwatule, Ntinda, and Kyanja Jomayi, among others. The crimes stretch from the year 2014–2022,” he said.

Enanga said that they are arranging to interrogate Sipapa on the string of alleged burglaries and thefts and will further submit the case files to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal guidance.
