Many people use WhatsApp, a well-known instant messaging app owned by Meta, to send quick texts, but it appears to be having problems.

There are currently millions of WhatsApp users who cannot send or receive messages.

The parent company of WhatsApp, Meta, acknowledged the outage in a statement and stated that they are currently working on a fix.

“We’re aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we’re working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible,” Meta is quoted by international media outlets.

They added, “We are yet to hear more details from Meta on what caused the outage.”
