Singer Edrisah Musuuza, also known by the stage name Eddy Kenzo, has explained why he thinks his daughter Aamaal Musuuza, whom he shares with singer Rema Namakula, will carry on his musical legacy.

During a local television interview, the Grammy nominee was asked which of his two daughters, Aamaal Musuuza, 7, and Maya Musuuza, 11, considers pursuing music as a career.

“I think Aamaal,” Kenzo said.

Kenzo thinks Aamaal has a lovely voice, and he’ll help her if she decides to pursue music.

“I will mentor her because I really love this job (music) and I am who I am today because of music. It’s a blessing,” Kenzo said.

But he insisted that he would help all of his children achieve whatever goals they may have.

Meanwhile, if Aamaal chooses the musical path, she won’t be the first child of a musician to join the music industry.

Allan Hendrick Ssali, the oldest son of Bebe Cool, Baby Gloria, the daughter of gospel musician Betty Nakibuuka Senyonjo, and Abba Marcus Mayanja, the oldest son of Jose Chameleone, who was also a musician before switching to swimming, are just a few examples of children of famous singers to have joined the music industry.
