In the Ugandan music industry, the debate over the “Big Three” (Jose Chameleone, Bobi Wine, and Bebe Cool) has been going on for more than ten years.

John Ssegawa, a veteran actor, director, and stage manager, has offered his perspective on the issue.

Ssegawa questions why the debate does not include Radio & Weasel. He claimed that the pair have had a sizable impact on the music business.

“It’s true they (Chameleone, Bobi and Bebe) changed the entertainment industry. We must respect them. But, Radio and Weasel deserve to be in the same category,” Ssegawa said while appearing on a local radio station.

He added, “Radio & Weasel changed music in Uganda. The sound, the writing, and the tone. Radio was a G.O.A.T., he wrote music for each and everyone because he wanted to share his musical talent.”

Ssegawa believes that Radio is better than Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool in music, writing, and production.

“They should displace one of them to fit in Radio,” he said.
