Social media can be a breeding ground for trolls, and Kampala Woman Member of Parliament (MP) Shamim Malende recently found herself at the receiving end of their criticism.

During Mesach Semakula’s concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday, Malende made headlines after reportedly discarding her clutch.

Malende, who had been using a clutch since her return from Kenya earlier this year after receiving medical treatment, seemed to have been moved by the music at the concert.

The MP’s seemingly miraculous recovery has left many questioning the details of her healing process.

One netizen, Nyamate, humorously commented, “Oldies can make you drop your guard like Hon. Shamim Malende ???.”

Another user, Kstan, expressed gratitude for Malende’s continued recovery, stating, “On a Sunday like this, we should be grateful to the Almighty for Shamim Malende’s promising progress.”

Frank Asiimwe, sharing his thoughts, humorously remarked, “I told you, you’ve got to have a sharp memory to be a professional liar..!”

Lydia Beauty attributed Malende’s newfound freedom from clutches to the supposed miracle worker, Mesach, saying, “Indeed, we should mainly thank Meseach the miracle maker ? for making you throw away the clutches ???.”
