At least 150 students from Nakanyonyi Secondary School in Mukono district have been rushed to various hospitals following a suspected poisoning incident. The students fell ill after consuming food believed to have been laced with poison.

Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire, said that the students began complaining of stomach pain after having supper on Wednesday night. The symptoms intensified after breakfast tea on Thursday.

In response to the alarming situation, the victims were promptly taken to Naggalama Hospital and Mukono General Hospital for immediate medical attention.
