Uganda Cranes forward Rogers Mato has made a move from the Uganda Premier League side, KCCA FC to Turkish club Şanlıurfa Spor Kulübü, marking a significant step forward in his journey.

Mato was officially unveiled on Friday. His new club currently competes in the TFF Second Division.

The forward is a product of the FUFA Juniors League. He played for Lweza FC Junior Team, Maroons FC Junior Team, and Proline FC Junior Team.

He joined KCCA FC in the 2021/22 season from Proline FC. His performance last season was outstanding for KCCA FC as he scored 15 goals across all competitions and he was KCCA FC’s top scorer.

Notably, Mato’s prowess on the field was showcased when he netted a crucial goal for the Uganda Cranes during a pivotal Group F AFCON 2023 qualifying match against Tanzania in Dar E Salaam.
