Every year, Apple promises an iPhone that surpasses its predecessor in terms of size and capabilities. On Tuesday, the tech giant hosted its annual iPhone launch event at its Cupertino, California headquarters, Apple Park, where they unveiled the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus.

As anticipated, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus bring several enhancements. The most significant change with the iPhone 15 is the transition from Lightning to USB-C. This means that users can now charge their iPads and Macs with the same cable, offering a convenient and unified charging solution.

The iPhone 15 retains its dual-camera setup, comprising a wide-angle and ultra-wide camera. However, Apple has significantly boosted the main camera’s megapixels, increasing it from 12 to 48, incorporating a quad-pixel sensor and 100 per cent Focus Pixels for swift autofocus. Photos will be saved in 24MP by default, providing exceptional image quality at a manageable file size, ideal for storage and sharing.

Pricing for the iPhone 15 starts at $799, while the iPhone 15 Plus begins at $899. Both models are available in five colours: black, blue, green, yellow, and pink.

Social media ‘experts’ have swiftly chimed in on these latest Apple offerings.

Despite Apple’s announcement that preorders for the new iPhones will commence this Friday, with deliveries starting on Friday, September 22, one Twitter user, @BeliverUG, humorously quipped, “I have found someone here at Mutaasa Kafeero building selling a UK-used iPhone 15.”

@Ugandanmafia playfully added, “You’ll be able to edit already sent WhatsApp and text messages with iPhone 15.”

@KingFahad jokingly remarked, “The goal was to distance myself from Android users, but now that Apple’s iPhone 15 has switched to USB-C, I don’t want it.”

@Brianstweets1 commented, “iPhone 15 is out, and I haven’t even used iPhone 1. I need an iPhone. Repost widely, I might find a good Samaritan.”
