Her Royal Highness Inebantu Jovia Mutesi has opened up about her first encounter with Kyabazinga William Gabula Nadiope IV, a moment that she says changed the course of her academic and personal life.

Speaking at a sumptuous banquet attended by esteemed guests at Igenge Palace in Jinja, Inebantu Jovia disclosed that the first meeting occurred during her Senior Six vacation when she found herself at a crossroads regarding her university education.

“Bbaba (Kyabazinga) is a friend of my brothers, and I met him through them. The first time was when I was confused about which course to pursue at university,” Inebantu Jovia shared.

Makerere University had offered her a course in Economics, while Nkozi University presented a course in accounting. Faced with indecision, she sought counsel from Kyabazinga, who advised her to follow her passion, ultimately leading her to choose accounting.

“If it wasn’t for that confusion, I doubt I would have met him,” she reflected.

Inebantu Jovia proudly announced that she successfully graduated in accounting and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field.

Expressing gratitude for Kyabazinga’s guidance, she pledged to make him the happiest man on earth.

The royal couple exchanged vows in a majestic ceremony at Christ Cathedral Bugembe, officiated by the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Samuel Steven Kazimba Mugalu. The event, marked by glamour and historical significance, drew thousands of well-wishers and distinguished guests.

Among the notable attendees were Prince Sicalo of Swaziland, Nabagereka of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda, Tooro queen mother Best Kemigisha, and the Queen of Bunyoro Kingdom, Margaret Karunga. Political figures added to the grandeur, with Vice President Jessica Alupo, 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Affairs Rebecca Kadaga, and former Vice Presidents Specioza Kazibwe and Edward Ssekandi gracing the occasion.
