Singer Sheebah Karungi has revealed why she has managed to keep herself among the top artists in the country despite some claiming that she has no talent.

Sheebah believes that the key factor behind her success in the music industry is the uniqueness of her work.

“The thing about creatives is uniqueness. I have been painted as someone who is not talented and can’t sing, but when I release a song, it trends at number 1,” Sheebah said during an interview on a local radio.

She added, “Besides that, I invest time and work hard, hence why I surpass those who are considered talented.”

When asked about her retirement plans, Sheebah, who is 34, revealed that when she turns 40, she intends to reduce her work ethic by half, as she feels she will be unable to cope with tight schedules at that age.

However, she explained that this will only be possible after she establishes multiple revenue streams that will support her financially without solely relying on stage performances.

The singer already has Sheebah Establishment, which oversees several companies including Holic Pads, an event company, and a nightclub, among other ventures.
