For weeks now, the marriage between media personality Canary Mugume and his wife, Fiona Nagirinya alias Sasha Ferguson, has been under scrutiny by social media “in-laws,” with many alleging that the two are no longer together as they have decided to take different paths.

Though Canary is still keeping his cards very close to his chest, Sasha Ferguson has been giving snippets of what might be happening in their marriage, as she seems to have turned into a ‘motivational speaker and marriage counselor’ of sorts.

Fast forward to the latest developments, Sasha has changed her X name from “Mrs Mugume” to Sasha Ferguson. She has also posted saying, “New beginnings, scary but worth it ?.”

The young couple has also unfollowed each other on Instagram.

The alleged situation has made Sasha very active on social media, where she tries to respond to almost everyone.

In one of her responses, a commenter mentioned losing hope in marriage, to which Sasha replied: “Bambi don’t, this tortoise picture has nothing to do with marriage. Marriage is such a beautiful thing once handled with care and when there is an understanding between the two people in it, putting pride aside. It’s beautiful, trust me.”

Another commenter said women should be feared, but Sasha reacted: “You will slowly learn to fear your gender even more. Trust me.”

Canary Mugume and Sasha Ferguson have been together for about a decade but officially got married on September 18, 2021, at Miracle Center Cathedral, Rubaga. Their wedding ceremony is reported to have cost about Shs400 million.

Last year, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Cairo.

Based on what the two have been posting on social media, their marriage seemed to be ‘okay’ until recently when allegations of their separation started circulating.
