Uganda Cranes left-back Aziz Kayondo has been named in the 2025 AFCON Qualification matchday two Best XI.

The 21-year-old was full of energy during the Cranes’ home game on Monday against Congo Brazzaville. Kayondo was solid in defence and equally energetic going forward.

His stunning goal, which gave the Cranes the lead in the 21st minute, made him the standout performer of the team on the day. Whether he intended to hit the ball into the net or not will be a discussion for another day.
