Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha of Empowerment Christian Centre Church International, which now ‘operates’ in Kenya, has said that tithes collected in churches are enjoyed by men of God and their families.

In a TikTok video, Pastor Mondo explained that the money given as tithe directly benefits the pastors themselves, rather than the church.

According to Mondo, the funds are directed toward pastors’ personal expenses, including supporting their families and maintaining their often luxurious lifestyles.

He was clear in stating that, despite being given in the church’s name, the money doesn’t go to God.

“When you tithe, that money comes to us pastors. It helps cover our personal needs, take care of our families, and handle other obligations. Don’t be mistaken—pastors are the ones who use that money, not God,” Mondo said.

Nevertheless, Mondo stated that, even though the funds are used by pastors, God still blesses those who give, as their contribution is viewed as a form of support for the church.
