The donations are part of the departmental CSR initiative that the bank undertook as part of its  celebrations for this year’s Customer Service Week.
Staff from the I&M Bank William Street branch, led by the manager- Barabara Kabengano, visited the Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped, and donated a range of domestic items, including a 6×6 therapeutic mattress, equip air poles, front walking frames, exercisers, assorted fine motor toys, crutches, fit ball-exercising balls, eats, and a board puzzle.

“We deeply appreciate this great gesture from I&M Bank. These items will make a real difference in the lives of our children,” said Florence Tweyambe, the school headteacher. “These donations will help us provide better care and support, and shall enable the students to engage more in learning and other activities. We are very grateful.”

The Legal and Compliance department of I&M Bank donated items to the children’s section of the Uganda Cancer Institute.

On the other hand, the bank’s legal and compliance department, led by Natalie Kironde- Head of Legal, and the Head of Compliance- Anna Maria Ajok, visited the Uganda Cancer Institute and Uganda Child Cancer Foundation, where they donated foodstuffs and detergents.

The I&M Bank Bweyogerere branch, led by the manager- Sadumu Kiremye, visited Kakajjo Primary School, an establishment in the neighborhood, where they donated scholastic materials to the pupils.

I&M Bank CEO, Robin Bairstow, expressed his delight in seeing the bank’s teams actively participate in community support initiatives.

“It’s very touching to see staff from the different departments getting involved in giving back to the community. It’s a clear sign that by working together, we can really make a difference in people’s lives,” said Bairstow.
