Pastor Wilson Bugembe, the lead pastor of Light the World Ministries, has warned followers against placing more faith in their pastors or prophets than in God.

While presiding over a fellowship in Kiwatule, Bugembe expressed his concern about the growing trend of believers “worshiping” their pastors or prophets.

“This generation believes in pastors more than they believe in God. You find someone constantly posting their pastor or prophet,” said Bugembe.

He added, “I know someone who has a portrait of their prophet by their bedside, thinking it keeps them safe.”

Bugembe further stated, “You’ll see a woman who never posts her husband, yet her pastor is always on her status.”

The pastor emphasized that Men of God are just like any other human beings, as they also face life’s temptations and struggles.

“They (Men of God) are not the answer to your problems. God is the only answer to all your problems,” he said.
