Foodies gathered for one last ‘turn-up,’ as the monthly Silo Daycation Brunch Series closed out 2024 in spectacular fashion.

Organised under a Mexican theme, paying homage to partner tequila brand- Don Julio, the last Daycation of 2024 saw cocktails, tequila, and gourmet food take centre stage.

A haven for the city’s food enthusiasts, the finale was all about savouring the best of the best, with an endless spread of sweet treats, fine cuisine, that were washed down with bottomless Don Julio cocktails.

The buffet was a feast for both the eyes and the palate. Guests were treated to an array of flavours, from succulent grilled meats and seafood, to vegetarian dishes and creamy-filled desserts. Patrons savoured every bite. To complement the culinary delights were Don Julio signature cocktails, that kept the spirits high, while the tropical florals and shimmering décor lit up every detail of the Bandali Rise based hangout.

Simon Lapyem, the Innovations Manager at UBL remarked, “As we close out an incredible year, we’re thrilled to see so many people embracing life’s special moments with Don Julio. The energy at the last Daycation brunch was unmatched, and we can’t wait to raise our glasses to another year of so many more celebrations together!”

The evening’s entertainment kicked off with a show-stopping performance by the Kampala Orchestra Band, the original entertainers of the Daycation Brunch. Their renditions of old-school classics had the audience swaying and singing along, cementing their spot as the highlight of the night.

Later, the usual suspects at the DJ booth turned up the tempo, spinning tracks that kept guests on their feet well into the evening.

From groovy beats, to dance-floor anthems, the DJs ensured the finale ended on a high note, leaving everyone craving for just one more song.

While the 2024 Daycation Brunch Series has officially come to an end, partygoers can start counting down to the next chapter.

The first brunch of 2025 has already been scheduled for the last Sunday of January, and promises more good vibes, great food, and of course, iconic Don Julio cocktails.
