NEC FC has officially announced the signing of promising winger Alpha Ssali Thierry, son of renowned Ugandan musician Bebe Cool. Ssali joins the team from Express FC on a two-year contract, marking a new chapter in his budding football career.

After one and a half seasons at Express FC, the 19-year-old leaves behind a good background, having made 35 appearances, scored three goals, and provided two assists. Ssali’s move to NEC FC follows his recent trials in Spain, where he showcased his talent and attracted attention from scouts.

Bebe Cool expressed his pride and excitement over his son’s achievement, sharing a heartfelt message:
“New Beginnings! ⚽️🇺🇬 A proud moment for me as a father. Congratulations to Alpha Thierry Ssali on officially signing a two-year contract with National Enterprise Corporation Football Club – @Nec_Fc.”
He further commended his son’s resilience and discipline, stating:
“Your dedication, hard work, and faith have paved the way for this milestone. This is just the beginning. Stay focused, remain humble, and strive for excellence. The future is bright ⭐️.”

Ssali’s addition bolsters NEC FC’s squad as they aim to maintain their strong performance in the league. He will face stiff competition for a spot in the starting lineup, going up against experienced players like James Jarieko, Paul Mucureezi, and Ibrahim Kasinde.

This signing also marks NEC FC’s first acquisition in the mid-season transfer window. The team, coached by Hussein Mbalangu, currently sits second on the league table with 34 points from 15 games, keeping them firmly in contention for the title.

With Ssali now part of the NEC FC family, fans and pundits alike will be watching closely to see how he adapts to his new team and rises to the challenges ahead.
