Mozambique delivered a commanding 3-1 victory over a 10-man Uganda Cranes side in a crucial Group G clash of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Cairo International Stadium this evening.

A first-half masterclass from Mozambique saw Pepo Santos bag a brace, while Stanley Ratifo added another to put the Mambas in full control before halftime.

Uganda’s lone goal came through forward Muhammad Shaban, who expertly nodded in Allan Okello’s well-placed free-kick, offering a brief glimmer of hope for the Cranes. However, their troubles deepened in the 37th minute when Denis Omedi received his second yellow card, reducing Uganda to 10 men and handing Mozambique a numerical advantage.
