MultiChoice Uganda has introduced a new range of 7-day subscription packages for both DStv and GOtv customers through its latest campaign, dubbed ‘Ka Weekie’—a move aimed at providing affordable, flexible access to premium content.

The initiative is tailored to meet the evolving needs of Ugandan viewers, especially those seeking short-term, budget-friendly entertainment options without committing to full monthly subscriptions.

The ‘Ka Weekie’ campaign brings a fresh level of flexibility to the pay-TV market, acknowledging that many Ugandans operate on weekly or daily income cycles. With these weekly packages, subscribers can enjoy uninterrupted access to their favorite shows, sports, and movies—at a reduced cost and on their own terms.

Speaking at the launch, Colin Asiimwe, Head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, emphasized that the new offering is rooted in customer feedback.

“This initiative reflects our deep understanding of how our customers live and spend. It’s a response to their realities and preferences,” said Asiimwe. “We’re confident that these flexible packages will not only delight our customers but also drive growth across our platforms.”

Under the new 7-day pricing structure, DStv customers can subscribe to DStv Compact for UGX 37,000, DStv Family for UGX 22,000, DStv Access for UGX 14,000, and DStv Lumba for UGX 5,000. On the GOtv platform, six packages are available: GOtv Supa Plus at UGX 37,000, GOtv Supa at UGX 22,000, GOtv Max at UGX 17,000, GOtv Plus at UGX 11,000, GOtv Value at UGX 7,000, and GOtv Lite at UGX 5,000.

Asiimwe reiterated that ‘Ka Weekie’ isn’t just about pricing—it’s about staying relevant.

“Whether someone is traveling, managing a tight budget, or just wants entertainment for a few days, this offering ensures they stay connected without stretching their finances.”

The campaign is particularly timely, aligning with broader economic realities and a growing demand for on-demand content that fits modern lifestyles.
