The I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series returns for the second leg of the 2025 season, this Saturday, May 31, at the Entebbe Club’s par-71 golf course.
This Saturday’s edition will be played under the ‘For Better or Worse’ format. Under this format, players will team up in pairs, and are free to choose partners of the opposite sex, with each playing their own ball.
Each team will declare nine holes on which they will enter their better score, and those where they will have to enter the worse score. On the holes chosen for the best score, the team will be limited to strictly using only four clubs per player. The team’s score shall be based on Stableford points format.
The series has maintained its tradition of daily online trivia questions, that are tournament and sponor-related. The trivias begin on Mondays in the week leading up to each quarterly event. Winners of the quiz will receive Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve bottles during the 19th hole experience this Saturday.
Katogo Captain- Elly Kibuka Mukasa says that after a successful season opener in March, the fraternity and players at large are excited for the series’ return, in anticipation of another competitive and fun-filled outing.

“Saturday is going to be a fun-filled day on the course because we are playing in a totally new format. This is what sets the I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series unique and apart. We always give golfers a fresh feel every time we meet. As usual, our 19th hole experience will be nothing short of entertaining, so golfers and guests can expect a great experience, as our sponsors have lined up special treats,” Mukasa said.
Mukasa highlighted that there will be exciting prizes for the top five male pairs, the top three lady pairs, as well as side bet winners.

Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communication at I&M Bank, noted that the second edition of the I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series is another great chance to connect with the golfing community, as well as show support for the sport.
“The I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series has become one of the most exciting events on the local golf scene, since it was added to the Uganda Golf Union calendar. It has grown with every round, and this weekend, golfers should expect a great experience on and off the course. Together with our partners, we’ve planned something special that we feel every golfer shouldn’t miss,” she said.
The series shall still have a hole-in-one prize car; an Outlander Sport (X-force), courtesy of Victoria Motors. The prize is insured by GA Insurance, who are also partners of the series.

Johnnie Walker Uganda will spice up the 19th hole experience with amazing cocktails, and bottle offers from their catalogue.
Case Hospital has joined the list of sponsors as a medical partner, offering on-site medical support and health services throughout each event of the series.
This weekend’s 19th hole experience comes with a fun twist: a football jersey dress code. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite club or national team jerseys. With the Ugandan league and most European leagues concluded, aside from a few ongoing competitions, it’s a great way to keep the football spirit alive and enjoy the evening in a laid-back, sporty vibe.
The I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series is sponsored by Johnnie Walker, Victoria Motors, GA Insurance Rwanda Air, Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa, Kampala Serena Hotel, Fenon Events, Goldman’s Luxury, NBS Sport, Case Hospital, and Time Cop Security.
