After nine days of non-residential training at Luzira Grounds, the Uganda Cranes technical panel of Fred Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso has trimmed the 41-player squad to 29.
The 29 will now enter a residential training camp in preparation for the upcoming 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) tournament. The squad includes players exclusively from the Uganda Premier League.
Two notable players — Vipers’ Milton Karisa and NEC’s Paul Mucurezi — have been dropped from the team.
The tournament, which will be co-hosted by Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania, is set to take place from 2nd to 30th August 2025.
