Renowned gospel singer Levixone, real name Sam Lucas Lubyogo, and his fiancée Desire Luzinda are set to tie the knot today, August 15, 2025.
Last weekend, Desire introduced Levixone to her parents in a colourful Kwanjula ceremony held in Matugga, Katalemwa.
For years, speculation about their relationship has dominated entertainment circles and social media. The pair, however, kept their romance largely private until Levixone proposed last month, followed by the Kwanjula ceremony last weekend, and now, their wedding today.
It coincides with Desire’s birthday, and she has posted saying: “Yes, today is my birthday. Man of God Levixone is very intentional. The Lord has been too faithful.”
Details about the wedding venue remain scarce, but the event will be broadcast exclusively on a paid platform.
Once a prominent figure in Uganda’s entertainment tabloids, Luzinda left secular music, relocated to the U.S., and embraced ministry work, focusing on gospel music and her foundation that supports vulnerable teenage girls.
Levixone, who rose from humble beginnings in Kosovo, a Kampala suburb, has grown to become one of Uganda’s leading gospel artists, known for hits such as Chikibombe, Turn the Replay, and Samanya.
