Uganda Cranes sealed their CHAN 2024 quarter-final berth after a thrilling 3-3 draw with South Africa on Monday at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole. But beyond the celebrations, how much are they cashing in from the tournament organisers?

The financial rewards keep growing for Uganda at the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024). Their qualification has pushed them into the money zone, with each of the eight quarter-finalists guaranteed Shs1.70 billion from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

If Morley Byekwaso’s men overcome Senegal on Saturday to storm the semi-finals, their prize package will rise by an additional Shs2.86 billion.

At the top end of the stakes, the CHAN 2024 champion will walk away with Shs12.04 billion, while the runner-up will pocket Shs5.73 billion.

On top of CAF’s prize money, the Cranes have already bagged Shs2.4 billion from President Yoweri Museveni in recognition of their group-stage victories over Niger and Guinea.
