Samsung Electronics East Africa has officially introduced the new Galaxy A56, A36 and A26 Series smartphones in Uganda, a range designed to deliver more style, intelligence, and inclusivity to young and dynamic users who want a device that keeps up with their awesome lifestyles. Packed with features that combine Ai, camera, performance and durability, the devices are designed with young people, content creators, professionals, and small business owners in mind

The new Galaxy A Series comes with a fresh premium design, offering a sleek, modern look that feels just as good in your hand as it does in your pocket. It’s built for those who want a device that not only performs but also makes a statement every time they pull it out.

One of the most exciting upgrades is the improved camera experience. With sharper lenses and AI-powered features, the Galaxy A Series lets users capture stunning photos and videos – whether it’s group selfies with friends, creative TikTok clips, or breathtaking city views at night.

Adding to the excitement is the introduction of “Circle to Search” with Google, a next-level intelligence feature that makes exploring the world around you easier than ever. With just a simple circle drawn around an object or text on your screen, you can instantly search for

information without leaving your app. It’s smart, fast, and incredibly intuitive – perfect for Ugandan users who want answers at their fingertips.

Despite their differences, the Galaxy A56, GalaxyA36, and Galaxy A26 are built with a solid baseline of features. All three sport a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, making them excellent for streaming, gaming, and social media scrolling. They also come with IP67 water and dust resistance, ensuring durability. On the software side, each runs on Android 15 with One UI 7, and Samsung has committed to six years of OS and security updates—a standout promise in the mid-range market. Additionally, the devices bring Samsung’s new Awesome Intelligence AI features, such as Circle to Search, Object Eraser, and Best Face, which make photo editing and content interaction smarter and more seamless.

The Galaxy A56 sits at the top of the lineup. Powered by the Exynos 1580 chip, it offers the strongest performance, ideal for gamers, multitaskers, and heavy app users. Its metal frame paired with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both sides gives it a flagship-like feel.On the camera front, it houses a 50 MP main lens with OIS, a 12 MP ultra-wide, a 5 MP macro, and a 12 MP selfie camera, delivering versatile photography. Charging is equally impressive with 45 W Super Fast Charging, and extras like in-display fingerprint unlock, stereo speakers, Knox Vault, and vapor chamber cooling.

Sitting in the middle, the Galaxy A36 is built for users who want power and features without the premium price tag. It runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, offering reliable mid-range performance. While it uses a plastic frame, it still has Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Its camera setup is similar to the A56, but with an 8 MP ultra-wide lens instead of 12 MP. Interestingly, Samsung has equipped the A36 with some of the most advanced AI features, including Read Aloud and AI Select. Charging speeds match the A56 at 45 W, and it retains extras like in-display fingerprint, stereo  speakers, andKnoxVault.

For those who prioritize affordability, the Galaxy A26 is the go-to option. It packs the Exynos 1380, making it less powerful than its siblings but efficient enough for day-to-day tasks like browsing, messaging, and light app use. The build is simpler, with a plastic frame, side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a U-shaped notch design. The camera system includes a 50 MP main lens with OIS, an 8 MP ultra-wide, a 2 MP macro, and a 13 MP selfie camera. Charging is capped at 25 W, but unlike the A36 and A56, the A26 retains practical features such as microSD expansion and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, which some users will find invaluable.

The Galaxy A Series launch highlights Samsung’s commitment to blending global innovation with local needs, ensuring Ugandan consumers get the very best of both worlds. Stylish, powerful, and affordable, the Galaxy a Series is made for those who live life boldly and want a smartphone that can keep up.

The new Galaxy A Series is now available in Samsung brand stores, authorized dealers, and mobile retailers across Uganda.
