Bebe Cool’s son, Alpha Thierry Ssali, has signed for KCCA FC from National Enterprise Corporation Football Club (NEC FC), committing to a two-year deal.
The 19-year-old forward, who spent the second round of last season at NEC, now joins a club where his grandfather, Bidandi Ssali, once made history as coach and team manager in the late 1960s.
Ssali’s career has seen him progress through Proline FC, before moving to Express FC in August 2023. He spent one and a half seasons with the Red Eagles before switching to NEC in January this year. However, his time at NEC proved challenging, with limited playing opportunities under coach Hussein Mbalangu due to stiff competition from seasoned attackers Paul Mucureezi and James Jarieko.
At KCCA FC, Ssali will be part of a revamped squad already strengthened with the arrivals of goalkeeper Charles Lukwago, defender Enock Walusimbi, winger Roger Mugisha, forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe, fullback Herbert Achayi, and striker Lazaro Muhindo Bwambale.
The move offers Ssali a fresh start and the chance to carve out his own legacy at one of Uganda’s most successful football clubs, while honouring the family tradition established decades ago.
