Singer Sheebah Karungi has shared the emotional and physical challenges she’s faced since welcoming her son, Amir, and trying to bounce back into the spotlight.
The self-proclaimed Karma Queen took a step back from the music scene late last year to focus on motherhood, announcing a temporary break to fully embrace her new role.
Now, six months later, Sheebah is back on stage — but admits the transition hasn’t been easy. In a candid YouTube interview, she revealed how much her life has changed since becoming a mother.
“Honestly, I was scared this time round,” she confessed. “Giving birth changes a woman’s body, mind, and everything about her life. It’s still not easy balancing both.”
Sheebah went on to describe moments when her son clings to her whenever she has to leave for work — a struggle she says every mother can relate to.
“Sometimes he refuses to let me go,” she said with a smile. “I’m still trying to find that balance, but I know I’ll be fine. Every mother goes through it.”
Despite the hurdles, Sheebah insists she’s slowly adjusting to her dual life as a mum and performer — and promises fans that her best is yet to come.
