State Minister for Energy and Nebbi Woman MP aspirant Phiona Nyamutoro has showered her husband, award-winning musician Eddy Kenzo, with praise for being her strongest pillar of support as she balances politics, family, and public life.
Speaking during a recent TV interview, Nyamutoro said Kenzo has stood by her since day one—not just as a husband, but as a constant source of motivation and belief in her abilities.
“I didn’t convince him to campaign for me. He has always been very supportive of my career from day one. He constantly praises me because he thinks I can be anything. He once told me I could be a superwoman if I wanted to,” she said.
Nyamutoro described Kenzo as one of her biggest blessings, saying his encouragement keeps her going even when the pressure of public service feels overwhelming.
“It is a blessing to have someone who truly believes in you and proudly stands by you to help you achieve your dreams,” she added.
The minister, who was recently elected as the NRM flag bearer for the Nebbi District Woman MP seat in the forthcoming 2026 elections, revealed that her husband’s support has been instrumental in helping her juggle her demanding schedule.
She also credited her family, her workplace team, and a dedicated constituency group for helping her maintain balance amid her busy political life.
“Striking a balance between work and family is very challenging. It takes a lot of effort and intentional planning. But I’m lucky—I have an incredible support system around me. My husband, my family, my office team, and the team on the ground all make it possible. I couldn’t do it alone,” she said.
