Daniel Muhumuza Nuwabine has been appointed Kampala City Council Authority’s interim Head of Public and Corporate Affairs and spokesperson.

Nuwabine replaces Peter Kaujju who has joined UMEME after serving the authority for nine years.

According to a KCCA news release yesterday, July 7, Nuwabine’s key role is to drive and oversee KCCA’s Communications Policy in execution of all the Institution’s Corporate Communication and Media Relations, stakeholder engagements at various levels and the Institution’s brand voice.

“Prior to this role, Nuwabine has been the substantive Supervisor for Guidelines and Public Awareness at KCCA for four years—a role in which he has provided oversight on community-based awareness and sensitisation with a blend of creativity and strategic thinking to give an account of KCCA services, status of projects as well as building synergies with communities,” reads an expert.

Nuwabine assumes the role at a time President Museveni has just appointed new leadership at KCCA.

Ms. Dorothy Kisaka was recently appointed Executive Director, replacing Andrew Kitaka who was serving in an acting capacity since the resignation of Jennifer Musisi.

Museveni also appointed Dr. Daniel Okello Ayen, as Director, Public Health and Environment, Ms. Sarah Kanyike, as Director Gender, Community Services and Ms. Grace Akullo, as Director, Human Resources and Administration.
