Who is Kisambira Kenneth, the new UBA Uganda Managing Director and CEO?

The Board of Directors of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Uganda Limited has appointed Kisambira Kenneth as the new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). He succeeds Chioma A. Mang, who served as CEO since 2020.

“The Board congratulates Mr. Kenneth Kisambira as he takes on his new responsibility to advance the bank’s strategic vision,” reads part of the official statement.

The statement also acknowledged the contributions of the outgoing CEO: “The Board extends its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Chioma A. Mang for her exemplary service and leadership. Her tenure since 2020 has been instrumental in positioning UBA Uganda as a resilient and forward-looking institution.”

Kenneth Kisambira brings over 18 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector.

Before his appointment as Managing Director/CEO, he served as the Executive Director and Head of Corporate & Commercial Banking for UBA Uganda. Throughout his career, Kisambira has demonstrated exceptional expertise in corporate finance, digital transformation, strategy implementation, corporate governance, and team leadership across various notable financial institutions.

He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Edinburgh Business School in the United Kingdom, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration & Management from Uganda Martyrs University, and has undertaken various professional training programs during his career.

Kenneth’s wealth of experience and leadership skills are expected to further strengthen UBA Uganda’s strategic direction and growth in the banking sector.
