Aspiring entrepreneurs now have a golden opportunity to turn their business ideas into reality, thanks to Victoria University’s Startup Garage program. The initiative offers participants a chance to pitch their ideas, secure funding of up to Shs5 million, and receive expert mentorship to kick-start their entrepreneurial journey.
Each week, contestants will present their business ideas to a panel of distinguished judges, who will assess their potential and provide valuable insights.
The Startup Garage boasts a panel of highly accomplished business leaders and industry experts, including Ron Kawamara, former CEO of Jumia Uganda, the country’s leading online retail platform. Dr. Lawrence Muganga, Vice Chancellor of Victoria University and a renowned digital economy educationist. Amos Wekesa, Founder and Managing Director of Great Lakes Safaris, a top tourism and hospitality business in Uganda. Barbara Kasekende, Head of the Advisory Department at Uganda Development Bank, with extensive experience in business development.
