Less than two months after it was rolled out, the Tukikube ne I&M Bank campaign has already gathered significant momentum, attracting Small Medium Enterprises (SME) owners who have started taking advantage of the bank’s flexible asset financing solutions.

One of the key elements of the Tukikube ne I&M Bank asset financing package, is access to brand new pickup trucks, with a monthly payment of only Shs 3.2 million. This was made possible through the bank’s strategic partnership with Victoria Motors Limited, the official dealers of Mitsubishi in Uganda.

On Tuesday, I&M Bank handed over a brand new Mitsubishi pickup truck, to one of the SME customers that have been able to utilize the Tukikube ne I&M Bank campaign. The handover was held at the Victoria Motors dealership in Kampala, and was presided over by Stella Akol, I&M Bank’s Head of SME Banking, as well as Emmanuel Muyunga- Victoria Motors’ Deputy General Manager.

Annette Nakiyaga, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank, spoke about the campaign’s impact, thus far, explaining that the initiative is more than just vehicle financing.

“Tukikube ne I&M Bank is designed to empower our SME customers to grow their businesses with the right tools and support. By making it easier to acquire brand new reliable vehicles for their operations, we are helping them save time, reduce costs, and increase productivity. This is just the beginning, and we are excited to see more entrepreneurs take advantage of this opportunity,” she said.

Victoria Motors’ Emmanuel Muyunga noted that the partnership is creating real opportunities for small business owners to thrive.

“Our partnership with I&M Bank allows us to provide high-quality vehicles to customers who need them most for their businesses. Together, we are making it easier for SMEs to access practical solutions that drive growth. We look forward to seeing more trucks on the road and more businesses thriving,” he noted.

Muyunga said that the Pickup trucks are still on sale under the Tukikube ne I&M Bank campaign, but urged customers to act fast, as the limited stock is expected to run out soon.

As part of the next phase of the Tukikube ne I&M Bank campaign, the bank is preparing to roll out market storms, that will see its teams visit SMEs in their spaces, to engage them about flexible financing options, listen to their challenges, and offer guidance on how businesses can benefit from its tailored solutions for business growth.

With financial literacy at the heart of the campaign, the Tukikube ne I&M Bank podcast series is now live on the bank’s YouTube channel and social media pages. The series features inspiring conversations with successful SME owners who bank with I&M, sharing real-life stories, practical insights, and lessons learned from navigating the challenges of running a business.
