FB_IMG_1440798971236Jamaican singers Konshens and Busy Signal performed at Lugogo Cricket Oval on Friday night.

The Pepsi sponsored concert was fairly well attended. They Jamaicans also put up their best performances, each lasting over an hour. Konshens had a good show and whereas he was lacking in putting up an energetic  performance, singing in his trademark laid-back way, he compensated with performing hit songs that the audience knew very well.

Even with some of the biggest hits of the moment, Busy Signal had a couple of songs that the crowd wasn’t  familiar with, but he put up an energetic performance.

During Konshens’ performance, there was a sound glitch when the DJs’ machines went off, but thankfully the microphones were on, so Konshens did an a capella as the issue was being rectified. He alsop introduced his “good friend” Chameleone on stage and Ugandan star performed his Wale Wale hit.

NRM Secretary General, Justine Lumumba Kasule came on stage to campaign for NRM and announced that the President has allowed the show to go on until 2am.

Kampala City Council Authority regulations stipulate that concerts should wrap up by midnight but special permission was granted for this show.

However, Busy Signal wrapped up his set at exactly midnight, because that is what had been planned for.

Several Ugandan artistes had also earlier performed at the show.
