For the past few weeks, African girls living or rather trading in Turkey were involved in a contest to find out the fairest woman from the continent.

ruby3And over the weekend, the beauties participated in several drills before a panel of judges at Zsaray Dugun Salonu in Instabul, Turkey. At the end of the evening, a Ugandan- a one Nantume Husnah Ruby was announced the new Miss Africa Turkey 2016.

According to sources, Ruby has only been in Turkey for just a few months. Sources told us that before she went to Turkey, Ruby was a struggling fashion designer working in a small boutique in Ntinda.

According to the source, Ruby who had been a seasoned model, used to juggle her love for fashion designing with working in a bar- the defunct Blue Ice in Naalya. Ruby allegedly went to Turkey for a fashion course. We can only say congratulations Ruby!
