It seems like when celebrated comedian Anne Kansiime famously warns people not to mess with her, she means business.

The latest we have is that the comedian has decided to give telecom company UTL and TV stations WBS and NBS a taste of what happens when one messes with her copyrighted work.

Our sources tell us that Anne Kansiime has dragged Uganda Telecom, NBS and WBS to the Commercial Court for having entered a memorandum of understanding (on January 21, 2016) to market a UTL product through an advert which had her as the main act (performer) yet her consent hadn’t been sought.

Kansiime reckons this is breach of her image, neighbouring and economic rights protected by the law, as well as unjust enrichment and invasion of her privacy.
