sautiIn 2014, Nile Breweries Ltd (NBL) through their Club Beer brand, launched a theme concert dubbed ‘Club Mega Fest’. The debut event was massive! It featured four celebrated acts; Mafikizolo from South Africa, Burna Boy from Nigeria as well as the legendary Shaggy and Patra from Jamaica.

Last year, the beer brewers decided to take the fun to their consumers in other parts of the country; starting off by taking Nigerian star Timaya to Jinja and Entebbe; and the Sanko singer didn’t disappoint.

Club Beer then pulled a shocker on their consumers in Masaka; by parading former Brick & Lace singer- Nyanda to headline the Mega Fest in Masaka!

Now preparations for the first Mega Fest edition of 2016 are in high gear. And this time round, the NBL has decided to look in neighbouring Kenya for entertainment. News on our desk is that boy-group Sauti Sol will headline the Mega Fest come August 15 at Legends Rugby grounds in Lugogo.

We also gathered news that the NBL is still putting together a list of Ugandan entertainers that will share the stage with the African stars that made US president Barack Obama boogy when he visited Kenya, the land of his forefathers last year! However, for now, DJs Apeman and Shiru have already been confirmed, and so has comedian Salvado- who will be the official emcee for the event.
