Those who thought singer Bebe Cool was “tying himself” on President Yoweri Museveni when he referred to him as his father and a very good friend, well, Sevo has just confirmed that they are indeed ”tight”.

The president was expected to attend the Kabulangane singer’s “Life Of Bebe Cool” concert but he couldn’t attend because he had official duties to take care of in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the time the concert was happening.

But Sevo couldn’t let “his son” down, so he recorded a video apologising for not attending the concert that was played during the concert.

“I apologise for not attending my very good friend, my son Bebe Cool’s concert,” Museveni said in the video recording.

“The music industry is very important because it provides jobs for young people,” of course we expected him to say things like this. But, Museveni who is known for his humour cracked the audience when he ended the video saying, “Ki Ekiganye, Kabulengane,” in reference to Bebe Cool’s current chart topping hits.

Bebe Cool supported Museveni during the February elections and there was a lot of public backlash from the public over musicians on the Tubonga Nawe project, with fans threatening to boycott shows of the musicians on the project, but the full house at Bebe’s show indicated that they have since moved on, or like Bebe Cool says, you can’t keep away from good music for long.

Bebe Cool himself is unapologetic for supporting the president who many young people feel that his 30 years and counting is more than enough for anyone to be President of a country.

Bebe Cool even campaigned for President Museveni during the 2011 elections where his own father Jaberi Bidandi Ssali was one of the contestants.
