Nigerian singer Yemi Alade arrived in the country at 3am this morning aboard Ethiopian Airlines.
The Johnny singer who is here to perfrom at Friday’s Uganda Entertainment Awards came with a 20-member entourage. She is staying at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
Abby Plaatjes, Gaetano Kagwa’s ex-girlfriend from BBA, will also attend the awards. She’s set to arrive tomorrow at around 3pm. Gaetano himself will be in attendance to present an award, so it should be an interesting reunion between the two former lovebirds!
Meanwhile, Kenyan boy band Sauti Sol who performed in Kampala last weekend will also perform at the awards. Sources tell us they reached a last-minute agreement with the awards’ organisers earlier this week. It will be the third time they are performing in Uganda.
The A-listers who will attend the event will also include SA TV host Bonang Matheba and Liverpool FC legend Robbie Fowler who will arrive tomorrow. Bonang will cover the red carpet event for E!’s Beyond the Red Carpet show.
